Restraint and Seclusion Overview

U.S. National

43 min

This course provides you with an overview of the use of restraint and seclusion to deal with emergency situations in school-related settings.

While students are learning to control their behavior, they may need occasional help to prevent them from harming other people or themselves. You’ll also learn about de-escalation, which can help prevent a student from losing control. Sometimes, however, students have so little control that they may need to be restrained or secluded.
