More than 60 percent of students ages 6 through 21 served under IDEA, Part B, are educated in general education classrooms 80 percent or more of the day, according to the U.S. Department of Education. The importance of preparing all school staff – not just special education teachers – with effective special education training is critical to the success of these students. At the CEC Special Education Convention & Expo in St. Louis, we are excited to formally announce the addition of the new training management system in the Exceptional Child Online Professional Development System, designed to assist district administrators in managing professional development in this area. The new training management system allows administrators to easily assign, track, and customize online special education professional development.
